Chicken Pasta Salad with Grapes and Poppy Seed Dressing

Ingredients
  

  • 1 box Betty Crocker™ Suddenly Salad® classic pasta salad mix
  • 1/2 cup poppy seed dressing refrigerated
  • 1 1/2 cups chicken cooked, cut-up
  • 3/4 cup red grapes halved
  • 1/2 cup celery thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup almonds slivered, toasted

Poppy Seed Dressing

  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil or light olive oil
  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp poppy seeds
  • 1 tsp dried mustard
  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions
 

  • Empty Pasta mix into 3-quart saucepan 2/3 full of boiling water. Gently boil uncovered 12 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Drain pasta; rinse with cold water. Shake to drain well.
  • In a large bowl, stir together seasoning mix and dressing. Add pasta and remaining ingredients; toss to combine. Serve immediately, or refrigerate.

Poppy Seed Dressing

  • Prep Time 1 minute Cook Time 1 minute Total Time 2 minutes Servings 1 cup
  • In a jar with a tight-fitting lid, combine oil, vinegar, sugar, poppy seeds, mustard, and salt. Shake vigorously and allow flavors to blend at room temperature, at least 30 minutes.
