
Chocolate Gelatin Squares
Ingredients
- 6 tbs gelatin
- 1 cup cocoa powder
- 2 cups coconut oil
- 2/3 cup honey raw or maple syrup
- 2 tbs vanilla
- 2.5 cup boiling water
Instructions
- Place gelatin and cold water in a blender and let it sit for 5minutes
- add all the other ingredients (except boiling water) TIP Melt coconut oil to ease mixability
- add the boiling water last (to minimize its time in the blender
- Blend all ingredients (be very mindful to not have this splash up as it can burn you
- Pour into 2 greased (with coconut oil) 8 x 8 pans
- let settle in the fridge. Cut into squares. Freeze one batch to have a sweet treat on hand!
Notes
These chocolate gelatin squares are so satisfying. One square will totally nourish you, so you aren't compelled to eat the whole tray!
And not to mention, they are oh-so healthy.
You will likely have all the ingredients on hand, with the exception of gelatin. And trust me, you'll want to make sure you have it in your cupboard at all times after making these.
* HEADS UP: Some people do not find these sweet enough. If you are not used to sweeten your food with honey & maple syrup, I would suggest cutting this recipe in half to see if they are to your taste.
