SUPER NACHOS

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef lean
  • 2 tsp chili powder
  • 2 tsp cumin ground
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 can refried beans
  • 1 bag corn tortilla chips 10 or 12 oz
  • 1 1/4 lbs Monterey jack or Mozzarella cheese, grated
  • 1 large onion chopped
  • 2 tomatoes chopped
  • 1 can black olives 6 oz, chopped

Instructions
 

  • Brown the ground beef in medium skilled. Drain. Add the chili powder, cumin and salt. Set aside.
  • Spread a thin layer of refried beans over the bottom of a platter or shallow heat-proof bowl to anchor the first layer of chips
  • Then spread a layer of chips over the beans, top with a layer of cheese, ground beef, onion, tomato, and olives. Repeat until all the ingredients are used.
  • Or, since this recipe usually makes about 4 layers, you can divide all the toppings into 4 portions for even layering
  • Microwave on high until heated through, about 10 minutes, or bake at 375* for 20 to 30 minutes. Serve warm with sour cream and Guacamole Dip, if desired
