
SWEET ONION & RED BELL PEPPER TOPPING
Ingredients
- 4 large onions sweet, thinly sliced (about 8 cups)
- 4 large red peppers thinly sliced (about 6 cups)
- 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tbs canola oil
- 2 tbs honey
- 2 tbs celery seed
- 3/4 tsp crushed red pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
Instructions
- In a 5- or 6-qt. slow cooker, combine all ingredients. Cook, covered, on low 4-5 hours or until vegetables are tender. Serve with a slotted spoon. Yield: 4 cups.
