Ingredients
  

  • 2 lb confectioners sugar
  • 1 lb butter (3 3/4 cups)
  • 6 eggs

Instructions
 

  • Mix softened butter, confectioners sugar and egg yolks until creamy. Beat egg whites stiff, fold into butter mixture.
  • Half recipe makes medium size bowl full 1lb = 3 3/4 cups unsifted powered sugar
  • To make a Tom and Jerry, fill a cup of hot water with spiced rum or brandy, warm milk, hot cocoa, or eggnog and stir in 1 heaping tablespoon of batter.
