CHERRY LIMEADE LAYERED MOUSSE

Ingredients

  • 1 large box lime gelatin (6oz)
  • 1 large box cherry gelatin (6oz)
  • 1/3 cup confectioners sugar
  • 2 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream whipped with the powdered sugar and divided
  • 2 cups boiling water divided
  • 3 cups ice divided
  • maraschino cherries for garnish

Instructions

  • Pour Jell-O into two separate large bowls. Add 1 cup boiling water to each and stir until dissolved. Stir 1 1/2 cup ice into each, stirring until ice is melted and gelatin is soft set. You may need to remove a few slivers of ice that is fine.
  • Refrigerate briefly, just until slightly thickened. Fold 1 1/2 cup of whipped cream into each until blended and smooth. Layer mixture into small bowls, jars, or one large trifle dish. Garnish with remaining whipped cream and cherries.

Notes

Makes about 10 8 Oz servings
If cherry lime isn’t your thing, feel free to use another flavor combo.  These are so fun as a snack with the kiddos and there are tons of flavor possibilities!
