CREAMY WHITE CHILI

Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breasts cut into 1/2 inch cubes
  • 1 medium onions chopped
  • 1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbs olive oil
  • 2 cans great northern beans (15-1/2 oz) rinsed and drained
  • 1 can chicken broth ( 14-1/2 )
  • 2 cans chopped green chilies ( 4 oz each )
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cumin ground
  • 1 tsp oregano dried
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 cup sour cream ( 8 oz )
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream

Instructions

  • In a large saucepan, saute the chicken, onion and garlic powder in oil until chicken is no longer pink. Add the beans, broth, chilies and seasonings. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 30 minutes.
  • Remove from heat, stir in sour cream and cream. Yield 7 servings.
