Ingredients
  

  • 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 pkg dry yeast
  • 1 egg Slightly beaten
  • 1 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup shortening
  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions
 

  • In bowl, combine 1 1/2 cups flour and yeast, mix well. Heat milk, salt, sugar, shortening, just until warm 115* - 120*. Stir, constantly until sugar is disolved and shortning is melted.blend in the egg.
  • Add, to Dry Mix
  • Beat on slow until mixed in well, then beat on high for 3 minutes. Let set for 3 minutes, before adding remainder of flour.
  • Shape into ball.
  • Lightly grease bowl turn rolls over. Cover and let stand until doubled in size about 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
  • Shape and place into pans. Let raise for 1 1/2 hrs.
  • Bake at 400*F. for 10 to 12 minutes.
