Ingredients
  

Cookies

  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp allspice
  • 1/4 tsp cloves
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

Glaze

  • 1 cup confectioners sugar
  • 1 tbs milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla

Instructions
 

For cookies

  • In large mixer bowl, combine all cookies ingredients except flour. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl, often until mixture is light and fluffy. Stir flour until well mixed. If dough is too soft, cover; refrigerate until firm enough to form cookies.
  • Heat oven to 400* F. Place dough into cookie press; form desired shapes 1 inch apart on greased cookie sheets. BAke for 8 to 12 minutes, or until cookie edges are lightly browned. Remove immediately.

For glaze

  • In small bowl, stir together all glaze ingredients until smooth. Drizzle glaze on warm cookies.
