BIENENSTICH - Bee Hive Cake
Ingredients
Dough:
- 1/4 lb butter 1 stick
- 1 egg
- 4 tbs sugar
- 1 pinch salt
- 10 tbs all-purpose flour
- 1 tbs baking powder
- 2 tbs milk
- 1 1/2 tbs vanilla
Topping
- 1 lb butter
- 4 tbs sugar
- 3 1/2 oz almonds fine, ground
- 1 1/2 tbs vanilla
- 2 tbs milk
Instructions
Dough:
- Mix all ingredients in bowl - put aside -
Topping
- Mix all ingredients in another bowl - set aside
Assemble
- Put Dough in a greased 10 inch pan (use a spring form) - ( You can use 'Pam" to grease pan). SPREAD DOUGH OUT TO SIDES. NOW SPREAD TOPPING OVER DOUGH. COMPLETELY COVER DOUGH.
- Put Pan in over = Bake at 350* or 355* degrees for 35 to 40 minutes.
- Check to see if cake is browning evenly. At end of 40 minues, stick a clean sharp knife into cake while still hot. IF knife comes out clean the cake is done.
- Put aside and allow to cool down. The cake is to be eaten and enjoyed.
