vegetable shortening

milk

mayonnaise

Instructions
BISQUICK MIX
Sift flour, baking powder, and salt three times into a large bowl.
Cut in shortening with a pastry blender until mixture resembles fine crumbs.
Store mixture in airtight container in the refrigerator up to 4 months.
Use whenever your recipe calls for "Bisquick mix".
Skillet Drop Biscuits
Prep Time: 5 Mins
Bake Time: 30 Mins
Yield: Makes 1 dozen
Whisk together milk and mayonnaise until smooth. Stir milk mixture into flour just until blended.
Butter a 10-inch cast-iron skillet; place in a 425° oven for 3 minutes.
Remove skillet from oven; drop batter by rounded 1/4 cupfuls into hot skillet, dropping 8 around edge and 4 in center. (Biscuits will touch.)
Bake at 425° for 25 to 30 minutes or until lightly browned.

I made this recipe when I wanted to make the Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuit recipe which calls for Bisquick.
