Hot Buttered Rum

Ingredients

  • 1/2 oz gold rum
  • 1 tbs hot buttered rum batter
  • nutmeg freshly grated, garnish
  • cinnamon stick garnish

Hot Buttered Rum Batter

  • 1 lb butter
  • 1 lb brown sugar
  • 1 lb sugar
  • 1 tbs cinnamon ground
  • 1 tsp clove ground
  • 1 tsp nutmeg ground
  • 1 quart vanilla ice cream softened slightly

Instructions

  • Add the rum and batter into a mug. Fill with boiling water and stir. Garnish with freshly grated nutmeg and a cinnamon stick.

Hot Buttered Rum Batter

  • Add all the ingredients except the ice cream to a bowl and stir to combine. Add the ice cream and stir again. Transfer to a container with a lid, seal, and store in the freezer. Refer to the Hot Buttered Rum recipe to build the drink.
