8Wan Tanscooked per person (32 for this recipe)
1/2tspgreen onionchopped, per person (2 tsp for this recips)
Instructions
Sweet and Sour Hun Tung (Wan Tan) Fluffy Stuffed Dumplings
Combine and mix filling ingredients well.
Mix dough and knead until smooth. Sprinkle board with corn starch and roll dough very thin. Cut into 3-inch squares. Dough may be put through noodle machine.
Place 1 tsp of filling in center of each square. Fold into triangle.
Sealer
Seal edges of dough with beaten egg. Fold filled base of the triangle up towards apex. Fold base points of triangle in towards each other. Cross points of triangle so ends point away from apex. Stick finger unto two crossed points and above filled portion and seal dough.
For Fried Wan Tan
Heat oil for deep frying to 350'. Fry Wan Tan until golden brown. Serve with Spring Roll Sauce
For Boiled Wan Tan
Proceed as above. Drop formed Wan Tan into slowly boiling water. Boil slowly for 5 minutes. If Wan Tan starts to break apart remove from water immediately.
For Wan Tan Soup
Combine stock ingredients and boil 2 minutes. Add vegetable mixture to stock and boil 2 to 3 minutes.
Place cooked Wan Tan in each serving bowl. Sprinkle green onions in eacn bowl. Add dash of pepper to boiling soup and pour into individual serving bowls.
